The custom PC frame at the bottom started as an OpenFrame case and now fits perfectly in the shallow rack. 🖥️
Just a few parts left… can’t wait to see it fully operational. ⚙️

DawidI gave up with almost everything I tried in order to #degoogle and "deBigTech". I'm also stopping everything I have #selfhosted except for #pihole
Fighting alone, when everyone else around me (friends, family, coworkers) doesn't care at all, doesn't make sense to me.
I will keep some things I already moved, but that's all.

Markus Buchner@meldrian bei mir war die kürzliche Anschaffung einer #AndroidTV Box der Auslöser, endlich ein #Pihole fürs ganze Haus zu installieren und nicht nur auf dem Desktop und auf dem Smartphone zu filtern. Bisher bin ich zufrieden, läuft ohne Googlekonto, per Sideload bekommt man alternative Appstores und #Smartube drauf und Pihole filtert Tracker und Werbung in den Streamingdiensten.
Enrico "meldrian" MichaelisHabe gestern Abend nochmal auf dem #pihole ins Log geschaut.
Das Drecksding liegt seither ausgeschaltet, komplett stromlos, im Schrank.
Also die AndroidTV-Box, nicht der Pihole 😉
Selbst abgeschaltet, also im Standby, hat die Gurke gefunkt ... in was für technisch beschissenen Zeiten wir doch leben.
Naja. Wie so oft, schade um die Hardware.
Eigentlich ein schöner kleiner Formfaktor wenn denn das System nicht so verhurzt wäre.
DimaJust updated my blocklists, and the Pi-hole is now blocking 2x-3x more requests. Look at that red spike!
It’s a good reminder that even "set and forget" systems need manual checkups to filter out the digital noise. Keeping my environment predictable and quiet, one update at a time.
iXb12bL31HfbHat #firefox 48.0.2 Probleme mit dem #pihole Admin-Interface? Es lädt nur die Hälfte, und die Query Graphen sind nicht mehr interaktiv. Unter einem Chromium Browser funktioniert alles. Dem #Raspberrypi gehts gut und überhaupt keine Probleme mit dem DNS Filtern an sich. (Cache natürlich im FFx gelöscht)
