When I built the arbour for the hardy kiwi I didn't think about it being a climbing frame for raccoons until the fruit ripened and I surprised one clambering on it (it seemed more startled than me).

Today when I was picking I noticed a lot had fallen to the ground (kiwis, not raccoons) and I figured someone would be along for a snack.

This just happened. Daylight bandit, apparently. The video resolution is affected a bit by the window screen; I shot this from my kitchen window.

We drove up to Wild Rivers National Monument for a green chile cheeseburger picnic with my sister and her partner yesterday. It was a beautiful day. El Monte Carlo's (Questa, NM) burger recently won 2nd place at the state fair. It was pretty good... A generous layer of diced green chile that covered the entire hand formed patty. The chile had a perfect amount of kick.
