Musical Interlude: OK, one last classical piano piece for now. Here we have a piano quintet from Schubert, popularly dubbed the "Trout Quintet." You might thing it's supposed to musically illustrate the movements of a fish, but it's really not. It's adapted from a song composed by Schubert that was meant as a simplistic warning to young women to be like trout avoiding the (ahem) rods wielded by young male fishers. A phrase from this piece is also used by Samsung washing machines and dryers to indicate the end of cycle!
Still, it's a pleasant listen, and in keeping with my spring theme (even in today's chilly rain).
"Piano Quintet in A Major, 'The Trout,'", composed by Franz Schubert, performed by Juhani Lagerspetz, Sini Simonen, Steven Dann, Franz Ortner, and Michael Seifried.
