The only problem I see with that - and #Kodi - is selective #discrimination by said #Streaming providers blocking i.e. #Firefox from decoding anything at all or only up to 720p unless one has a #Mac or #AppleTV or a #Windows10 machine with #Intel iGPU & #SGX enabled and uses #Chrome or #Edge or #IE...

der @Raspberry_Pi #Pi400 war auch stets gut verfügbar, auch wenn dieser fast 30% teurer wurde....
Wohingegen alle #CM4 und alle #Pi4B8GB quasi nicht verfügbar sind...
Leider kotzt die Konkurrenz nur halbgares Zeugs aus das zwar aufm Papier besser ist, aber weder brauchbare #Dokumentation noch gute #Software & -#Support hat!
@mike_k If you want some cheap backup solution and don't need peak IOPS, consider some cheap thin client and some cheap SATA-HDDs or even SSDs with USB Adaptor+Case...
May look messy but you can get a decent mini server for backups for less than the MSRP of a @Raspberry_Pi #Pi4B8GB or #Pi400...
Not to mention that most #ThinClient|s are #fanless and #LowPower, reducing the costs even further even if you don't have to pay €0,62/kWh for electricity.
And worst of it: They still just put #Amazon #Affiliate links to the search...
Not that Amazon has any listings for the #32GB #OrangePi5 anywhere, but worse-than @Raspberry_Pi #Pi4B8GB - scalped 4GB models...
@DaemonFC I mean as airgapped VM it's certainly an option if you can't be bothered to fiddle.with #Wine and need to use some legacy abandonware...
That being said, my.recommendation for most #TechIlliterates is getting them a #Pi4B8GB-Kit or the #Pi400-Kit and set them up, or getting some quality refurb with a decent #Linux distro...
