Morning Glories in the Meadow Choir

This photograph captures a small field of wildflowers—primarily yellow bitter sneezeweeds (Helenium amarum)—their bright blooms clustered like sunlit confetti across the frame. Threaded among them are three purple morning-glories (Ipomoea purpurea), bold and trumpet-shaped, offering a vivid counterpoint to the yellow.**

I darkened the grassy background to let the flowers stand out more distinctly, though the green had its own quiet beauty. Perhaps that small adjustment was my way of feeling creative—of shaping the scene just enough to honor its natural charm while adding a touch of intention.

Habe kürzlich auf einem Flohmarkt eine Canon AE-1 erstanden - dürfte wohl so ca. 45 Jahre alt sein. Was für eine technische Meisterleistung! Funktioniert noch immer einwandfrei - hier einige Testfotos. Diese Farben! Ich bin begeistert :-)

🇺🇸: The Eurasian magpie (Pica pica) is a songbird species in the corvid family (Corvidae). The magpie is a medium-sized corvid, measuring about 44–46 cm in length, including its long tail. It appears slender with a striking black-and-white plumage and iridescent blue-green wing and tail feathers. Its distribution area covers most of Europe, much of Asia, and northwest Africa. Like other ravens and crows, the magpie is omnivorous. Its diet focuses on insects, seeds, and fruits, but it also eats small vertebrates, eggs, carrion, and human food waste in settlements.

🇩🇪: Die Elster (Pica pica) ist eine Singvogelart aus der Familie der Rabenvögel (Corvidae). Die Elster ist ein mittelgroßer Rabenvogel von etwa 44–46 cm Körperlänge, wobei ihr langer Schwanz einen großen Teil ausmacht. Sie wirkt schlank und ist durch ihr auffälliges schwarz-weißes Gefieder sowie schillernde blau-grüne Flügel- und Schwanzfedern unverwechselbar. Das Verbreitungsgebiet umfasst weite Teile Europas, große Teile Asiens und Nordwestafrika. Wie auch andere Raben und Krähen ist die Elster ein Allesfresser. Der Schwerpunkt des Nahrungsspektrums liegt auf Insekten, Samen und Früchten, daneben frisst sie auch kleine Wirbeltiere, Eier, Aas und in Siedlungen auch menschliche Abfälle.
