I have just discovered that it is now* free to call most UK numbers (ie 01, 02, 03, 07) from a BT payphone, if does not accept cash.
Today's #PhoneboxConference is on!

Update on the #PhoneboxConference.
One call from a pal before I had to head.
Was so not expecting to find the #phonebox working that I wasn't prepared at all. Mobile almost flat.
If you'd still like a chance to call the Twatt phonebox, favourite this and I'll try to set up properly for Monday, prob around lunchtime BST.

Years ago, on another social media site, I used to run what I called a #PhoneboxConference. I pitch up at a classic red phone box and invite folk to call.
It's getting harder to find locations, let alone iconic ones.
So imagine my delight in finding one (the only?) working red #phonebox on Orkney.
And where? In Twatt, of course.
