I think one of the side effects of the COVID post-crisis is that now many ones want to do a visio/call for any introduction or discussion.

Most of the time this is useless, inefficient (poor ratio time spent/useful data, fuzzy information...) and unconfortable.

So WHY? 🤷

To me asynchronous communication via email is much more efficient.

#phoneanxiety

During my uni hours today a person I have not been in contact with for years decided to try and call me.

Got terrible #PhoneAnxiety after noticing it, expecting the inevitable retry. It´s so ankward and usually people want something. It´s so hard to guard my no on the phone as it is (shoutout to René Brooks).

So, managed to summon the will to text: "You tried calling, was busy. Please send a message or an email."

Woot! Incredible to think that this can feel like such a radical act. #adhd

Had a wonderful call with #sonOne. Despite both of us having #phone_anxiety, once we get started, it is very comfortable, as though I've known him since his childhood.

Love it!! I have suffered from #PhoneAnxiety for years. I hate talking on the damn thing as most phone calls are irritating interruptions.
