What if Zhuangzi wrote bedtime stories? 🦋 I took a shot at it and turned his famous Taoist parables into a collection of short stories for kids. Fun, whimsical tales about perspective, nature, and dreaming you're a butterfly. #philsky #academicsky #PhilosophyForChildren #Zhuangzi #KidLit

I wrote a thing! 🤓 It's a collection of kids' stories based on Zhuangzi's parables. My goal was to make his big ideas about perspective and nature accessible to little minds. Hope you'll check it out and share! #philsky #academicsky #PhilosophyForChildren #Taoism #Parenting

Of note, #PhilosophyForChildren #P4C have been for ~two decades developing teaching materials for k12 students; they supported a randomized study with first graders and showed benefits to the students two years later

@philosophy This book is written in Mandarin, but it was easy to infer the main message from the pictures :).

The main question is; who is deserving of more mushrooms between the two characters? Children can consider cases for both while also being introduced to the fallacy of the false dilemma. A fox eventually comes along and solves the problem by eating the third mushroom, thereby taking away the point of conflict, but was he right to do so?
