@digyoursoul I went to a #TeslaTakedown protest this weekend in my area of #NewJersey, attended by well over 300 people. That this many people showed up in the South Jersey burbs at lunchtime on a Saturday tells you something is truly percolating.

That protest and others in the Philly region were covered by the #PhillyInquirer’s Will Bunch. Gift link: https://share.inquirer.com/qKTTfe

Outside Tesla in the Philly suburbs, the green shoots of an American uprising

Rage over unelected billionaire Elon Musk sends protesters to Tesla showrooms as America wakes up to the reality of our oligarchy.

🧵Must-read from @GottaLaff: Will Bunch article in the #PhillyInquirer about the #TeslaTakedown protests in the #Philadelphia area yesterday (I posted earlier about the one I attended in South Jersey).

@chuck_wendig Simply fabulous. I am a longtime Inky reader (like from the 70s when my parents got the paper when I was a kid) and current subscriber. Fun fact: the #PhillyInquirer is owned by the nonprofit Lenfest Center for #Journalism so no megabucks zillionaire is going to dictate who the editors endorse. #LocalNews
@dangillmor WaPo can fuck alllll the way off. I cancelled my sub back in June and now get all my news from indie/nonprofit sources like @ProPublica, the #NewJerseyMonitor and #PhillyInquirer https://www.inquirer.com.

@mastodonmigration @TonyStark Agree 💯. I jettisoned NYT back in 2016, and WaPo in June. No regrets.

The nonprofit-owned #PhillyInquirer (to which I’ve subscribed for years) is a solid alternative. Other good NJ-centric indies are NJ Monitor and NJ Spotlight News.

@charlotteclymer Reason number 52,816 why I ditched corporate media (except for O’Donnell) for indie/nonprofit online outlets, podcasts, and my hometown #PhillyInquirer
