Frost is very busy in the #HouseOfLords continuing to flog the #Brexit dead horse, and has tabled a whole bunch of amendments designed to scupper the law, removing all mentions of E.U. standards from it just for starters. Frosty isn't writing in the newspapers about it, M. Moorhouse, because xe is busy killing it directly. #UKPolitics
#PhilMoorhouse's latest huge error in #USPolitics has been about #DonaldJTrump's raft of Executive Orders.
Many have corrected xyr error about jus solis, pointing out that it is widespread across the Americas.
Few have pointed out M. Moorhouse's erroneous claim that the EOs are for show and have had no real effect.
Tell that to the NIH people who have been shut down, the people whose passports have been held pending "clarifications" of the rules, and the USPTO workers!
#PhilMoorhouse's analyses of #USPolitics are often egregiously wrong and ill-informed. The U.S.A. is definitely not xyr field.
But this still places xem a rung above many native U.S.A. commentators on YouTube, whose analyses are on the level of Beavis and Butthead pointing and laughing at people. M. Moorhouse may not know the first thing about some aspects of U.S.A. politics, and err vastly because of that, but at least xe isn't on the level of not even attempting useful analysis.
There are too many levels of recursive reaction videos in that for it to make sense to me. I was lost within the first 2 minutes.
So #PhilMoorhouse explained it to me instead.
The politicians, journalists, and thus #PhilMoorhouse have described this as "changes to font sizes and rules around spacing".
If that were true, this would be an entirely artificial political row.
In reality, the changes deal in (amongst other things) what counts as selling chemicals to the general public, and six new (as yet) E.U.-only categories of hazardous chemical (although those categories not coming into full effect until 2026).
If you heard about the #StormontBrake threat from #PhilMoorhouse then you have been seriously misinformed. Unfortunately, from past evidence, M. Moorhouse does research via Twitter & Twitter-facing-journalist, rather than directly.
