Protip: If you're trying to exclude some files from a dist .zip
zip -r9 -x '**/.DS_Store' \@ foo.zip foo

The files won't be gone when you:
ls -al foo

You need to:
unzip -l foo.zip

Was it like this for the very few people who knew at the time that System Enhancement Associates was 2 blokes in their homes, when Phil Katz was mobilizing people against them for being a big bad evil corporate giant wanting to suppress him, back in the 1980s?
