So, what exactly did I mean when I said Trump's name has been *heavily* and illegally redacted from the Department of Justice's Epstein files? Well, let's start with "heavily" and work our way towards "illegally."
First of all, how many times do you think Trump's name appears in the redacted version of the so-called "Epstein Files" the Department of Justice compiled on this case? You can be forgiven for answering "I don't know" because both the Republican Party, and a complicit corporate media have treated this figure like a state secret, but the reality is that even in the redacted version of the files, Trump's name appears something like 38,000 times. A number which partisan fascist hacks and propagandists have simultaneously both blamed on Trump's own first term DoJ investigation into Epstein, and held up as evidence that Trump's name couldn't possibly be one of the names being redacted to protect rich child rapists because his name already appeared so many times. You following all that nonsense?
Good, now just take a guess how many times Trump's name actually appeared when Representative Jamie Raskin typed in the president's name while viewing the (partially) "unredacted" Epstein Files. If you guessed literally over a *million* times, you win a gold star.

Raskin: Trump Is in Unredacted Epstein Files More Than a Million Times
"Representative Jamie Raskin has claimed that President Trump is named over a million times in the unredacted Epstein files.
“The idea that we could get through a meaningful fraction of them is just ridiculous,” he told Axios Tuesday, after viewing the unredacted files a day earlier. “I mean, there’s tons of redacted stuff.… And [Trump’s] name, I think I put his name, and it appears more than a million times. So it’s all over the place.
“To me, this whole rollout of saying that members can come from nine to five to sit at those four computers, is just part of the coverup,” Raskin continued.
“If this is true, it would mean the Department of Justice redacted more than 96% of the mentions of Trump,” MS NOW’s Matt Fuller wrote."
Folks, you could write an entire five hundred page nonfiction book about Donald Trump, and not type Trump's name over a million times. For comparison, I found it deeply incriminating that Vladimir Putin's name reportedly appears in the redacted version of the Epstein Files on 1,056 documents; similarly there have been widespread calls for Bari Weiss's pro-Trump CBS to shitcan longevity quack Peter Attia after he appeared in the "Epstein Files" over 1,700 times. At over a million appearances, it's no longer fair to say Trump appears in the Epstein Files - a more accurate analysis would be that Donald Trump is indeed one of the main characters in the Epstein Files instead. The files are about Trump, as much as they are about anyone besides perhaps Epstein himself.
Okay, with that established, let's turn back to the Common Dreams article by Stephen Prager I posted above, to see what kind of redactions the Department of Justice is legally allowed to make according to the Epstein Act Trump himself signed into law.
"The law passed in November requiring the files’ release mandates that victims of Epstein’s abuse have their privacy protected, but forbids the DOJ from redacting information to protect prominent individuals, including government officials, from embarrassment."
Look folks, I'm not a rocket scientist but I don't think the Epstein Act leaves a lot of ambiguity for Pam Bondi to work with here; she's legally required to redact identifying information of *victims* of the Epstein ring, and legally forbidden from redacting the identities of Epstein associates, co-conspirators, or government officials. Which of course brings us back to a pretty simple question - is the Department of Justice claiming Trump was an abuse victim of the Epstein Ring? Because if they're not, they just broke the law somewhere in the range of a million times to protect their child rapist Führer.
