Double feature! Wanted to catch some perseids - with little luck - got one but was treated to a lovely aurora display as well.

For those who are curious the images were captured using the NightCap app on an iPhone on a tripod in central Denmark, about a quarter to midnight on August 12.

Perseid Meteor and the Milky Way

Near Cygnus, this was taken around 1:10am the morning of August 12 from Liberty Hill, Texas.. This was one of the brighter fireballs I saw between 12am and 3am. My count was around 30 an hour. 

Nikon D750, Sigma 12-24mm, 25 seconds, F4.8, ISO6400.
