Today after doing my timely upgrade of my desktop running Arch Linux and rebooting after as I always do I found my self in a weird situation, I was unable to login even with root it just didn't matter which of my accounts I had tried. With the correct username and password I get "Permission denied" message as a response and if I miss typed my password then I get the usual "Login incorrect" as I should.
