I've never heard of "The Day of the Triffids" before discovering the corresponding Vilains list for the #PerilousTales miniature game.
I found the book in a street library (a converted phone booth) a few months ago.
Just read it. It's a pretty good book!
This one is in bad shape but that's understandable: it's a 1973 edition, stamped (faded) "Inverness Technical College" on the edge, found in 2022 in a french village, 1941km (1206 miles) from Inverness. :)

The ghost nuns keep coming back.
The agents manage to get from them some information on the history of the place, then quickly leave. An exorcist team will have to come back to clean the church if need be (probably not since the werewolf is dead and the cursed lifted).

A good #soloGaming session with #PerilousTales. All objectives accomplished. Scored 8 VP: "A Tale fit for the telling!" (that I'm not going to tell).
Frank is no Hellboy but he was more than a match to the enraged werewolf.

About six to eight months ago Mike Hutchinson (designer of Gaslands) showed me an idea that he had, a solo skirmish wargame called ‘Perilous Tales’. I checked it out, it was good fun, the AI system needed beefing up and it was fairly bare bones, but it was fun.
