Just added "Fire Of Unknown Origin" to my list of perfect albums. A rare feat.
This list is private and i will keep it this way. You will have to find out yourself, what i especially like. Clues are dropped on a regular basis in here.

Looks like I'm going through (my) #PerfectAlbums today. They're all subjective.
This one might not be some people's tastes. But to me, it's perfect.

I'm a Meat Puppets fanatic, seen em multiple times, love stuff from all the albums. But only a few of their records I find perfect. I'm not big on their super early stuff. Bits and pieces.
I dig 'Monsters' from 1989 fully, but it's not an 'anytime' kind of record for me. So the first Meat Puppets record I find perfect - an 'anytime' album - is 1991's 'Forbidden Places'.
Has some real alt-country on this one (as most Puppets records do, it's not much, among the blazing guitars). From the first seconds and minutes of "Sam" - I mean, they still play this live. It is WILD. They Might Be Giants covered "Whirlpool". This album is rad, man. From "No Longer Gone" (which was my username on Twitter for many years) 🤣 to the title track, just legendary. Underrated?

I wrote on here almost a year ago about how much I love that first Elastica record from 1995.
But it's another Wednesday, and I find myself listening to it yet again.
Instant mood enhancer for me. The whole damn perfect thing.

Dookie by Green Day is one of those albums I will never get bored of. I've heard it a million times already, I don't plan to stop, there's not a single song I don't like. That's one of those rare perfect albums, at least to me. 🥰
It's 2024 and I finally own a MINT copy of this 57 year old MASTERPIECE. A belated birthday gift! 😍

I thought about the Clash briefly yesterday, strangely via one of my previously less favorite of their songs that's grown on me recently popping in my head-- "Lovers Rock" (it's ALWAYS in my head lately?) & I knew I'd have to listen to London Calling today. I've listened to it so many times, it's like, a PART of me. I know every weird little sound on it. And I still listen to it multiple times every year. Just like Superunknown.
Ah, the perfect album. Not all bands can do it. I think very few can.

Listening for what has to be some thousandth time this morning, one of my favorite albums ever, released the year before I was born-- The Clash's brilliant London Calling.
A perfect record from front to back, of course.
This album is such a huge part of my youth, having discovered it with my friends when I was around 13 or 14, been listening to it for (nearly) 30 years now.
These songs are like, INGRAINED in me. They're so damn catchy and amazing. The Clash's other albums and songs are cool too, but there's something MAGICAL about this album.
