In November 2025, Seed the Commons participated in the People’s Summit Towards COP30. We presented a talk as part of the Just Transition axis, and the last day of the summit we marched with tens of thousands of other activists from around the world to demand real solutions to our climate crisis. Alongside organizations such as SEUI 1021 and the SF Labor Council, Seed the Commons co-organized a solidarity climate march on the same day in San Francisco. We merged it with a People Over Billionaires march–because the impending climate catastrophe is inseparable from our widening wealth gap. On the same day, activists marched in Belém, Brazil and in San Francisco, USA calling for a transition to veganic farming for true regeneration across the Americas. In Belém, we also visited the Green Zone of COP30, the “Agrizone” that was set up by the agribusiness industry to promote “sustainable agriculture”, and we had the privilege of being hosted at the Indigenous Village that was set up by the Brazilian government to facilitate participation of Indigenous people both from Brazil and other countries. In this webinar, we will offer a report back on all of the above. We’ll share thoughts on what worked, what didn’t, where real change happens, issues around inclusion and tokenisation, how climate activism ties in with other struggles and our current political moment, and more. We will tie all of this in with the topics covered in the previous webinars to help orient our (and your!) next steps in climate activism. --- This is the fifth and last in our webinar series From Extraction to Regeneration: Lessons and Next Steps after the People’s Summit Towards COP30. This series presents critical conversations on addressing our climate crisis and the radical changes this entails. More importantly CBC thanks for asking what is Canada's responsibility to national self determination.
At the very least Canada has entrusted millions of Canadians over decades, often providing the reason for living to a slushbound body, to an obviously kind people.
For all that's good and decent and proper stand up, on feet, straighten backs and remember Juno Fucking Beach.
