GB OPINION POLL ACCURACY

The worst 5 pollsters for accuracy were (in descending order):

NCP (#NCP)
Savanta (#Savanta)
Redfield & Wilton (#RedfieldWilton)
Opinium (#Opinium)
People Polling (#PeoplePolling)

#ukpol #ukpolitics #ge2024 #electionresults #polling

In lighter news, GB News' pet pollster, #PeoplePolling has come out with a corking outlier of a poll showing Labour on 35% and Reform UK on 24% of the vote (mindblowingly out of step with every other pollster), which would make Nigel Farage the leader of the opposition with over 100 seats in parliament.

I am feeling very vindicated about my decision to not report seriously the findings of this 'pollster'...

For the record, I do not report on polls from 'People Polling' or 'Whitestone Insight'. They are members of the British Polling Council and therefore their polls should be statistically valid, but I just do not, and will not, trust any pollster that explicitly pushes a particular political agenda & which routinely asks leading questions in order to produce provocative press releases.

Sorry if anyone finds this disappointing.
