#PeonySeason is here. My favorite #TreePeony, #ShimaneChojuraku is starting to unfurl multiple buds.
This peony has pink shading to deep mauve/purple petals at the center. #TreePeonies tend to have some of the earliest blooms of the season. For our garden, the last blooms will come from pink herbaceous peony #SarahBernhardt.

As of yesterday, there were lots of peonies open, and some bushes with only buds. Still well worth going.
