mambastic photographyI went to a small music event this past weekend. I didn't want to bring my DSLR, but I had an itch to take photos at a music venue again. I brought my PENTAX Q7, a camera from 2013 that is pretty much a fancy point & shoot. I was not disappointed with the results. (Well, okay, maybe a little because the autofocus isn't as quick and as accuarate as today's standards.) Shot at 1/160, ISO 800, f/2.8 for close ups f/1.9 for wide.

Poor 'PossumGrendel trying to look like a silver-screen era starlet.
Picked up a 13mm cine lens for the Pentax Q. I'm excited to do some portraiture with it, but the small things I was able to find required some cropping to isolate, and I am pleasantly surprised by how decent things still came out from that tiny little sensor! I've always wanted a lens with some swirl to it.
My workspace has evolved a little bit more, and I just finished my third wheel build, and this was the "Big One," though not in size... It's a shame it'll never look better than it does now...
The one issue with building 20" wheels that I should have seen coming is my tension meter straight up does not fit, so this is very much just a "Hope it's good enough!" situation!
Gotta start building time into my commutes so I can take my time setting up shots... but my bed is warm and I am lazy.
