PSA for #VimEverywhere crowd and disgruntled #Pentadactyl and #Vimperator users!

For several years already there is a stable version of VIM-in-firefox which doesn't require #Palemoon.

It's called #Tridactyl and here's its #Github page: https://github.com/tridactyl/tridactyl

I use use #palemoon, in big part because it can run #pentadactyl which makes the whole browser vi.

And it's programmable. This is a recent ad-hoc Ex command I did to move all scattered tabs of a video website to the start:

command! -nargs 0 tubemv javascript for (let t of tabs.match("tube.tchncs.de")) tabs.move(t, 0)

Many other great addons from XUL Firefox still work, e.g. eMatrix.

Disadvantages: Slow, web compatibility, Penta XPI from source.

The more I use Pentadactyl on Basilisk, the more I love it. Don't think I'll be able to go back to normal web browsing ever again #vim #basilisk #pentadactyl

The keyboard driven Browser Wars continue..

Today I discovered an addon called Pentadactyl, which is an old FF addon that works with the Basilisk Browser.
This might be what I was looking for!

I love vimb, but the WebKit engine it uses crashes quite a bit, and each tab is a new process, which can lead to memory usage of note when you have a tab party going.
However, Basilisk uses one process and uses a lot less memory, and rarely crashes. #Basilisk #Pentadactyl

Do you know if a #firefox addon exis-t to do custom things like adding a page to #wallabag without using the mouse ?
