Spent this morning reading about the 'Penrose Stairs' on Wikipedia.

It was a post on mastodon this morning about Escher, that made me think about what was original known as the 'Impossible Object' when it was created by Oscar #Reutersvärd in 1937.

Then it was independently discovered and made popular by Lionel and (his son) Roger Penrose, and also M.C Escher

Anyway, it is a most fascinating rabbit hole.
