A three-week closure of the #McKeesport Duquesne Bridge begins March 14 and will require detours for motorists as well as three heavily used bus routes.

PennDOT said the bridge is scheduled to close at 10 a.m. It will reopen with restrictions April 7:

Okay, I've crapped on #PennDOT a bit here so it's only fair I give them props when it's due. I'm going to check on this broken sign tonight and see if its fixed, but this is pretty good ticket management this month.
#PennDOT: Thanks for submitting a road concern in April. It’s now December so it’s been a while and we think it might be done. Although it might not be. If it isn’t, it’s in the plan. But we’re closing this ticket and you’ll never hear from us again. Cheers!

Here’s this month’s “Pen Avenue,” my cartoon for Print, Pittsburgh’s East End newspaper.

Well, even though a #PennDot rep got back to me via email to say the personalized plate section could be ignored, and agreed this was confusing, I received my new #LetFreedomRing plate and, ugh, it's a new number.

Typical - I finally find the drive and "ability" to do things I need to get working on and the goddamn system behind it is down.

Thanks PennDot.

This #penndot microfiber cloth is not bad. It's a kind of organization swag I find useful the most.
Anyone get the email about the new #PALicensePlate? This note on the top reads like you need to order a personalized plate to retain any existing plate number, otherwise, you get an all new number, no? #PennDOT #Pennsylvania #LetFreedomRing

The line at #PennDOT is always fun.
