Pena Adobe

This is one of my local haunts so to speak. Pena Adobe is a Vacaville City Park that is on the edge of town, a few miles from where I live.
I hike this area on a regular basis but I rarely photograph it as perhaps it is too familiar to me and I don't always see the beauty that is in my own backyard.
On tis morning I took my camera as the light had a strange quality to it.

This is one of my local haunts so to speak. Pena Adobe is a Vacaville City Park that is on the edge of town a few miles from where I live. This is a view from the park looking out over private land.
I hike this area on a regular basis but I rarely photograph it as perhaps it is too familiar. Houses are slated to be built in the valley this year.

Mt Vaca From Pena Adobe

One of my favorite parts of living in Vacaville is this piece of land you see in this photograph. Captured here is the ridgeline of the hills at Pena Adobe Regional Park with Mt. Vaca in the background. The hills have a wonderful golden glow captured with the low sun during the late summer and fall.
