brett danversLast month I had two drawings in the Toowoomba Art Society life drawing exhibition. I went in to collect them after the exhibition ended and could only find one.
The other had been sold!
Yesterday I went for another trike ride around Toowoomba. Only 21 km. I zigzagged around and stopped at a hardware store.
I then stopped outside Millbrook house which is very run down and has builder's signs on the front fence.
I parked the trike outside the gate and sketched the view through the gate.

This morning I drove over to East Toowoomba to sketch. It was a bit windy so I parked in the shade of a tree and sketched the view from the driver's seat.

I rode around Toowoomba this morning and managed 42 km. Before I went home I stopped and sketched a house that has a mansard roof. A very unusual style for Toowoomba.

Yesterday's sketch of a tree in our daughter's front yard. It blossoms this time each year. Watercolour with purple gouache.
Sunday's trike ride around Toowoomba. I rode across to USQ and rode round round the Uni loop that the club riders ride. I stopped to sketch a windmill and was passed by numerous cyclists.
One stopped to see if I was ok. I thanked him and we chatted for a while.
I continued on and rode 38km. The last 3km was hardest as my batteries were flat.

This morning I rode a meandering route around Toowoomba. As I sat at the lights in Margaret St a bloke crossing the street stopped and talked to me about recumbent trikes. He said that he was building one. He would have kept talking but his wife called him to hurry up!
I then looped around and stopped for lunch at the Finch in Ruthven St. I sat outside and sketched the view.
As I sketched a couple stopped and asked me about the trike. He'd had a back injury and couldn't ride a regular bike.
After lunch I rode around looking for something else to sketch. I found a shady tree to sit under and sketched a house in Lindsay St.
My final stop before going home was at the bakery at Eastville for another coffee.
