Went to my first Pelikan Hub yesterday at Dromgooles. Such a great store. Everyone was super nice and I ran into a person I used to work with. Looking forward to more pen & stationery meet ups.
We had a great Pelikan hub here yesterday. More than 50 people came. Luckily for us, our hub master - Frank - is a very generous man. After seeing that Pelikan sent mostly Rose Quartz, he reached out to their distributor and got Apricot Achat for all of us. And he let people take Rose Quartz bottles, if they wanted them (they aren't selling). So to support him, I bought a very expensive ink $35 - Visconti Green.

Pelikan Hub! I had out of town plans, so I signed up for the city I was going to be in: Victoria BC.
It was much different from the enormous Seattle gatherings. We had a cozy gathering in a pub. Small enough we could get to know everyone's names. We passed samples and pens around, talked about ways to get into letter writing, and had a great time getting to know each other.
I won one of the raffle prizes: a pen from Golem Pens, a new maker who attended the Hub.
Tonight was my first #PelikanHub since 2019. Even though I'm out of the hobby and no longer keeping up with the releases, it is always a pleasure to talk to pen friends. I think it was crazier that I just picked a random table that had an open seat and we started chatting on the same wavelength. I think that's what's special and fun about the pen community no matter where I'm at.
I'm mostly a one pen person these days, so I forgot how some folks would bring 20 inked #fountainpens for folks to try. I felt like the party pooper with my one pen lol
