After #KrampusNight comes #StNicholasDay, celebrating the arrival of St. Nicholas on December 6 who brings gifts to children. St. Nick is, of course, the precursor to the modern-day Santa Claus, so for the #BeerAdventCalendar pick of the day we commemorate the holiday with a Santa-themed #beer—Bad Santa Cascadian Dark Ale from Oregon’s #PelicanBrewing.

Flock Party is the newest year-round IPA from #PelicanBrewing, billed as a “modern IPA” by the brewery, designed as an approachable and sessionable IPA to share with friends (your “flock” as it were). This new #beer is brewed with Bravo, Centennial, and Strata hops with a simple malt bill to highlight the hops. Here's my review.

#PelicanBrewing introduced a new #beer to its year-round lineup this fall, Flock Party IPA, which the brewery is calling a modern take on the style brewed with Bravo, Centennial, and Strata hops. Last week Pelican sent me samples of the beer to review along with some fun swag.

You never know where you'll stumble across great #CraftBeer! This is a glass of 120 Minute IPA from #DogfishHeadBrewing, on tap at the Beachcomber Pub in #FlorenceOregon on the #OregonCoast. The whole taplist here is good—they also have Mother of All Storms from #PelicanBrewing!

Recently, #PelicanBrewing introduced its newest #beer, one that looks like it’s positioned to try to tap into the market dominated by the likes of Corona and Kona—Pelican Beach Beer. It’s a light, crisp golden ale with 4.5% alcohol by volume, packaged in 16-ounce cans, and interestingly available in six packs rather than four packs (which seem to be an informal industry standard for the can size).

Happy #NationalBeerDay, where we celebrate the beginning of the end of #Prohibition in the U.S. in 1933. I've opened a can of #PelicanBrewing Beak Breaker Double #IPA to toast the day, and I hope everyone else is enjoying something just as tasty! Cheers!

I don’t know if this heralds an actual trend yet, but it seems one of the latest directions that non-alcoholic offerings from breweries is heading is hop water—zero calorie, zero alcohol carbonated water infused with hops, and last week I received a surprise package from #PelicanBrewing containing cans of the company’s new take on this category: Sparkle Hops.
