Libraries back then (1920’s) did not take special care of their rare books. They just put them on the shelves. And they were frequent targets of theft. The New York library was the exception.

In the final session we really get our act together and bring down the hurt. After being pretty successful socially but largely ineffectual in fights, my sneaky rogue finally brings the hurt and takes down something meaty. All in a very enjoyable weekend

We sort out the time loop but then in dealing with the fallout, our priest gloriously faceplants of a balcony and is threatened with a coup de grace by the big bad so we take a rare campaign loss which means a temple is destroyed. But we have pointers to another and we go in search.

Another two days for the campaign we started in October with two new characters. I think there are 8 of us now. We fill in some background that my PC had already done but then go in search of trouble, helping a caravan and meeting a Dwarf Stand-Up. We get into a timeloop thing which was great fun.

In the final part, we rally the villagers to save themselves then journey on, again guided by the relic, to a place of strange flora and fauna. We fight fungi and other strangeness to save an important tree. My rogue goes three fights undamaged, except for a spear to the back from a confused comrade. It's all glorious fun. Then I sleep for 13 hours to recover.

Then we reassemble some years later in a memorial to a friend that died in the fire. We find a relic that was why our home was burnt down and escape from the people who want it. We travel across the land to a small village troubled by undead attacks. We get to the bottom of this, partially by travelling again to the past.

It's a whole two days of gaming with a new campaign in 2e. We designed the back history of the Ages in our last session 6 months ago. The new PCs are orphans whose orphanage burnt down a few years ago. We start with flashbacks to defining episodes in our past together. And then we get drawn into visiting the past via a ritual and understanding why our home was important.
