Revelation XI 2027, our #PbtA and adjacent #ttrpg convention, will be on the weekend of Feb 13-14 at the Garrison Hotel in Sheffield UK.

The convention will take place at The Garrison Hotel in Sheffield. The hotel offers overnight accommodation, which can be booked directly with them. It is preferable to contact the site by phone. Mention that you are with the games convention, to access a discount on the price of the room.

A dozen sessions into my first #avatarlegends #ttrpg campaign, it is quickly becoming my favourite #pbta game. Interestingly, the really succeeds in making those players who are usually a bit less narratively oriented in other games take a more narrative approach and really play their character; on the other hand, the players who were already playing more “narrative first” in other games seem to feel a bit constrained by the system. All in all, though, we are all enjoying it a lot.

Continuing work on Renegade Nell-style PbtA, I'm aiming for something like a Brindlewood Bay style of investigation, but everything is focused on exactly what monster the PCs are facing. They collect evidence from incident scenes, witness statements and skirmishes with the monster to define it's form and behaviour, including strengths and weaknesses. #ttrpg #PbtA

My current #ttrpg obsession is making a #PbtA inspired by Renegade Nell, the Disney+ series from 2024. I didn't want to be making this, but the idea fermented in my subconconscious and forced it's way out.

Mit den Regeln von Blades in the Dark sind teilweise Erfolge gar nicht so unwahrscheinlich. Die Spielleitung hat bis zu ziemlich hohen Werten mindestens 50% Chance zu erzählerischer Hoheit. Ich denke, einen Action-Punkt haben PCs bei fast jedem Wurf, oft +1 wegen Setup und, wenn's hart auf hart kommt, noch +1 wegen "Push yourself", also Action Rating 2-3 im Mittel.
Das Rechnen hat Spaß gemacht und ergibt überraschend übersichtliche Formeln.
