My #mother should have been a #Physicist.
She was clearly #WolfgangPauli in a previous life, because every time she sits in front of her computer, or tries to watch tv in the evening, whatever device she's using suddenly develops the #PauliEffect.
Set up PC the Younger at Mother's. Monitor doesn't turn on; computer does, complete with new fan. Swap power cords. Bad electrical socket? The upper one, it turns out, was operated by the light switch, as is one across the office...
After all that, the monitor doesn't receive a signal.
