The Dreaming, die Spin Off-Serie zu Neil Gaimans Sandman, begeistert genauso wie die Hauptserie. Bei hochkarätigen Autoren wie Bryan Talbot und Alisa Kwitney ist das auch kein Wunder. Christian: Ein Jahr, nachdem Terry LaBan und Peter Snejbjerg mit der Story „The Goldie-Factor“ die Serie The Dreaming 1996 so wunderbar eröffnet haben, veröffentlichte Terry LaBan in den The Dreaming-Nummern 13 und 14 einen weiteren Zweiteiler. Diesmal hatte er die Künstlerin Jill Thompson an der Seite, um eine weitere Geschichte aus den Grenzbereichen zwischen Jenseits, Traumland und Wachwelt zu erzählen – man kann das gerne auch Twilight Zone nennen. „Coyote’s Kiss“ fühlt sich an, wie die Episode einer klassischen Fernsehserie, die noch nicht den epischen Anspruch heutiger Serien hatte. Als würde man einschalten und sich 40 Minuten lang gut unterhalten lassen. Das ist viel weniger spektakulär als ein Kinofilm, aber auch angenehm unaufgeregt. Es ist einerseits nicht überraschend, dass nicht jede dieser Zwischendurch-Geschichten nachgedruckt wurde; schade ist es trotzdem, denn gerade Tiere gehen Jill Thompson wirklich gut von der Hand, und der kleine Konflikt zwischen Matthew, dem …
