To break the #PathetLao & #HoChiMinhTrail, the US on #ThisDayInHistory in 1964 launched #OperationBarrelRoll: a secret, illegal bombing of #Laos. Over nine years, more bombs were dropped here than on Germany & Japan in WWII. 10% of the population was killed: over 200,000 people.
