Albany, NY was essentially founded on the beaver trade – for fur, not as "medicine." Long after the beavers were gone, a local #SnakeOil salesman got into a tussle with the State of New York and ended up getting his beaver seized (and don't think I haven't considered "Beaver Seizure" as a band name).

Going through a newspaper from 1913 and saw this advert for "Hall's Wine", which claimed it could cure depression.

Found an interesting modern article about it (
