Working for Trump would drive anyone into the toilet.

On Friday, April 10, #FBI Director #KashPatel was convinced that he had lost his job. Unable to log into an internal computer system, “he panicked, frantically calling aides and allies to announce that he had been fired by the White House,” #Atlantic staff writer Sarah Fitzpatrick exclusively reports.

As news of the episode spread, the White House fielded calls from within the bureau and from members of Congress. If #Patel had been ousted, who was in charge of the roughly 38,000 people employed by the FBI?

The answer, as it turned out, was still Patel. The access issue appears to have been a technical error. He had not been fired.

But he may have reason to worry, Fitzpatrick reports.
