The #ArdeatineMassacre was on #ThisDayInHistory in 1944. A #Nazi reprisal policy said that ten civilians would die for every #fascist killed, so when 33 soldiers were killed by #partisans the day before, 335 prisoners, many #antifascists, were marched to #ArdeatineCaves and shot.
