Avec #longwyvivra nous souhaitons partager notre travail, mais aussi vous inviter à partager votre histoire sur Longwy.

[plus d’infos sur notre projet] La ville de Longwy a une histoire intimement liée avec celle de la sidérurgie. Ville des luttes ouvrières, ville de migration. Il ne reste aujourd’hui presque plus de trace de cette histoire. De janvier à juin 2021 nous réaliserons avec Nabila Halim un travail photographique et sonore avec les habitant•e•s de Longwy et les 4e D du collège Vauban autour de la thématique de la migration. Cette belle aventure est possible grâce à l’association Caranusca et la ville de Longwy.

[Some information about our project]: The history of Longwy is closely linked to that of the steel industry. A town of workers' struggles, a town of migration. Today, almost no trace of this history remains. From January to June 2021, together with Nabila Halim, we will carry out a photographic and sound project with the residents of Longwy and students of Vauban Middle School, exploring the theme of migration. This wonderful adventure is made possible thanks to the Caranusca Association and the city of Longwy.

[journal de terrain, Longwy, semaine 3] La découverte 


J’aime commencer une nouvelle résidence, rencontrer un lieu pour les premières fois, amorcer un nouveau terrain. Tout semble incroyable, nouveau. Incapable de différencier le quotidien, de l’anecdotique, de l’incroyable, tout est surprenant. La moindre trace est sujette à interprétation, la moindre trace est un indice (souvent trompeur) pour tenter de comprendre ce territoire nouveau.

[field note, Longwy: week 3] Discovery
Discovery I love starting a new residency, meeting a place for the first time, starting a new field. Everything seems incredible, new. Unable to differentiate between the everyday, the anecdotal, the incredible, everything is surprising. The slightest sign is open to interpretation, the slightest sign is a clue (often misleading) to trying to understand this new territory.

[Zone 54 - 3/12] : L’enjeu de mes installations est de créer un univers à la fois sensible et cohérent, capable de s’adapter à chaque lieu de diffusion, du squat au musée. Les photographies sont dévoilées sous forme de séquences narratives sous différentes ambiances sonores (concert punk, discussion en appartement, manche…)
Je tenais à remercier particulièrement le CRI des lumières qui a été la première institution à soutenir ce projet, ainsi que la MCL de Metz. Un grand merci à Spraylab-CCGP qui m’a accueilli en résidence afin d’expérimenter la forme « zone 54 : i love you ...k 0ff  » qui a nécessité 2 semaines d’installation. Merci aussi à La Chapelle des Pixels, la Drac Grand Est ainsi que la bourse Regards sans limites, pour votre soutien. 

Depuis 2015, j’ai eu le bonheur d’exposer dans de nombreux lieux. Merci à tou•te•s pour ces belles expériences, pour votre confiance, pour vos conseils !

[Zone 54 - 3/12] The goal of my installations is to create a universe that is both sensitive and coherent, capable of adapting to each exhibition space, from squats to museums. The photographs are presented as narrative sequences within different sound environments (punk concert, apartment discussion, street performance, etc.).
Zone 54 is a dialogical photographic and sound documentary made between 2012 and 2017, in collaboration with Emy, Le fils, Gaëtan, Ingrid and Mike.
