The winery said that "Monemvassia...came to Paros centuries ago, Malvasia Paros (PDO) made by sun-dried Monemvassia grapes....Monemvassia grape is not the same grape with what is now known as Malvasia di Candia Aromatica or other Malvasias, but some studies say it might be a historic ancestor of the Malvasia family."
