Watching British politics from afar - one thing that the whole May, Johnson, Truss, Sunak, situation gave to their system is that it took the shock and upheaval of swapping out PMs away.
It would seem that the effort required to bump out Starmer must be pretty low – like a casual chat over lunch and pop in a new person before breakfast.

Though in fact, since the leader of a governing party in a parliamentary system has more complete power than any individual in the current US government, the public tends to vote for parties lead by moderates.
