Ab 2027 soll dieser bis zu 20 Prozent des inländischen Strombedarfs des Konzerns decken. Ziel ist eine stabilere #Energieversorgung und eine bessere #CO2-Bilanz der Werke.
Das Projekt ist Teil einer langfristigen Strategie, bis 2039 alle Standorte weltweit mit #ErneuerbareEnergien zu betreiben.

B.ellaYou may not share my opinion, but I think #cruise #ships are a nightmare. They are a disaster for the #sea and for our environment, yet people who continue to go on cruises just don't seem to give a damn.
The Meyer shipyard (#MeyerWerft) in Papenburg is where some of these cruise ships are built. On my bike ride to #Papenburg, I had the opportunity to ‘admire’ the Disney Destiny. To enable this and other ships to reach the #NorthSea, the depth of the River #Ems was altered. Whereas the Ems used to be 1.5 metres deep, it is now 9 metres deep (!). These interventions in nature, just so that some people can have ‘fun’, disgust me and all of us will have to pay for them eventually.
So this is my (neither pretty nor light) contribution to today's #MeerMittwoch.

I went on another #biketrip today. This time I cycled from Leer in Ostfriesland to #Papenburg in #Emsland. Canals and windmills awaited me, quite fitting for a #SilentSunday, I think ☺️

Two hours ahead of me in the bus so: chin on chest, and hope I don't snore.
Trips out again this weekend. First one to Marklohe for a buffet Brunch - bus connections are not so good, but the trains were on time in both directions, and I managed to get to the "Shakespeare in the Park" performance of "Orlando" by the Bremer Shakespeare Company.
#Hamburg today, and the train surprisingly empty on the way back to #Bremen, which is not something I have experienced before on this route.
Day off tomorrow, and then #Papenburg on Tuesday. Need the rest.
