LukeI can see why people didn’t like Beyond the Black Rainbow but it spoke to me of psychonaut John Lilly and the world my head inhabited in the late 80s. That of course links it with Altered States and the works of Ken Russell, although Cosmatos and Russell are very different… John Lilly characteristically liked Altered States despite or perhaps because of its absurdity.
