🪔 #Onthisday in AD 33, Agrippina the Elder died on the island of #Pandataria - the same place her mother was exiled to - from self-inflicted starvation. Daughter of Marcus Vipsanius #Agrippa and Augustus' daughter, Julia, she was married to Germanicus; they had six kids including the future emperor Gaius Caligula and Julia Agrippina, mother of the emperor Nero.The marble bust of Agrippina the Elder is now in the Istanbul Archaeological Museum.
