Hey meshers, would anyone be motivated to hack a @meshtastic or @meshcore chat application on #PalmOS devices ? The one on the photo has a nice display, nice keyboard and even Bluetooth! Avoiding the landfill for these devices (also with the phasing out of 2G/3G), would be an awesome reuse of resources ♻️. Looking into Palm SDK and existing open source apps for this platform...
You just had to live through that time to fully understand.
Many reply guys will share their comments but they will never understand. Perhaps a change in laws will make everyone feel different when governments start collecting ID's.

Modern software is so bad I had to go back to a Palm Pilot to track calories.

Als ich die Tage mal einige Kisten aufgeräumt habe, ist mir mal wieder ein Altgerät in die Hände gefallen. Funktioniert nach >20 Jahren immer noch einwandfrei, auch das Daten- und App-Backup ließ sich noch problemlos einspielen.
Falls jemand Interesse hat und das Gerät noch einer sinnvollen Nutzung zuführen möchte, darf sich gerne melden.
Fyi für die Spätgeborenen: Nein, es gibt keine Internet-Nutzbarkeit, kein T9 oder Auto-Complete. Bedient wird das Ding über den beiliegenden Stift.
