Behold! The punctured vertebrae #Dinosaur #Fossil of an #Allosaurus caused by the #Thagomizer of a #Stegosaurus. The spikes (seen to illustrate fit) were used for defense. To clarify for someone who asked: 44 #Tyrannosaur rexes have been found at Hell Creek (24% of all finds) so the total Hell Creek T-Rex population was ~0.7 million during a 2 million year period. #Dinosaurs #Science #PaleoSky 🧪🦖

The diet of #TyrannosaurusRex consisted of Hadrosaurs, Triceratops, and other large #dinosaurs. Surprisingly though this also included other Tyrannosaurus rexes indicating cannibalism! See the bite marks in these #Fossils. 🧪🦖 #Science #PaleoSky Source: doi.org/10.1371/jour...
