In the teens D&D group I run/DM, we had a dedicated PvP and pizza party last night. Total blast! Ran through three scenarios with some interesting mods that were a lot of fun.

We do this 2x a year and the kiddos always look forward to it.

@BaronessWinter We never allow any player-vs-player action during our normal campaign play, only during special events that are dedicated to PvP.

@cynical13 Very true! The character that can cast Sleep has "won" a disproportionate number of times, as do those who can go invisible or have really effective ranged attacks. It's actually been a teaching moment for the players as they see how effective some characters can be during campaign combat and they use that knowledge in the next regular game. 🧠

@cynical13 I've had prizes before, things like dice bags or trays, etc. Coming up with scenarios that don't give unfair advantages to certain characters is the biggest challenge. We've yet to have personality or hard-feelings issues come up as they all know it's in-game and not personal (and deaths don't count toward the ongoing campaign).

@cynical13 I run the teens D&D program at my local public library. We do a PvP and pizza session twice a year and the kiddos LOVE it! But, they're teens. Adults may see it differently. I've never participated in one as an adult DM or player, personally. #dnd #ttrpg #pvp
