@icastico Fantastic band! I saw them with three different line ups over the years--though the Andy Kerr period was easily my favourite. Jon Wright's current band Dead Bob are really worth checking out live. This video from a hometown show is a couple of years old and--dare I say--doesn't quite do them justice as a live force these days.

This morning's old-man #workout #music is some #PunkRock from #hardcore legends NoMeansNo - a live set from 1998. As a #progRock and #JazzFusion loving teen who got into #Punk when I was in my 20s, these guys scratched both itches at once. Complex riffs and arrangements with enough attitude to come across as authentic. Their reinterpretation of Miles Davis's Bitches Brew is a hallmark of genre bending brilliance.

Eel Men formed in 2021. Couched in the instability of the present and the microcosm of North London, they prioritise angular guitars, straight rhythms and fanatical storytelling. After a long series of sweaty UK gigs and having already toured extensively around Europe, with gigs ranging from family friendly festivals to ex gestapo headquarters turned anarchist squats, there’s lots more on the horizon. 2025 see’s Eel Men release their debut LP ‘Stop It! Do Something.’ via No Front Teeth (UK / EU) Big Neck Records (US) and embark on an extensive EU tour.
