Not claiming PT Anderson's Punch-Drunk Love (2002) is vintage Tati, or Sandler is a postmodern Hulot. But since the director himself refered to Tati, I can only say: 'That's why I loved this movie so much'. Paul Thomas Anderson on P-DLove: "Those silent Tati worlds, full of colors and sound effects, that's what I tried to achieve in this movie." Too bad Sandler did not get much of a chance to dig even deeper into his 'darker' sides, he and it fitted this movie nicely. Well done by the entire cast! The scene where he runs with his found harmonium,
