After a long hot day of #NoKings3 activities in #Phoenix, 300* people packed themselves in my condo for an after-party, and it was glorious.

Lots of food, drink, for sure. But it also shored up personal connections between people who only see each other for an hour or so every week or so.

Our local community of resisters was made that much stronger. We’re better for it.

* OK, I may be exaggerating by an order of magnitude. But it was packed!

Unlike previous years the Phoenix found its way to the arts quad to witness the end of the Dragon -- the place was crawling with other photographers so I took hardly any that were backlit by the harsh sun so I just got his back here

I had to nope out of the downtown #Phoenix #NoKings3 festivities after about an hour. The light cloud cover dispersed, and my body said enough of that direct sun bullshit.

I managed to nab a couple of cool shots before it got too much.
