- uv add django → pdm add django
- uv lock → pdm lock
- uv sync → pdm sync
- uv run manage.py runserver
- possibilité d'ajouter un délai de cooldown dans la mise à jour des dépendances : pdm lock --exclude-newer 7d
🏢 NEW: Proxmox Datacenter Manager Complete Guide!
Multi-cluster management, centralized monitoring & VM migration between clusters. PDM 1.x in production.

Proxmox Datacenter Manager (PDM) is a centralized management platform for overseeing multiple Proxmox VE clusters and Proxmox Backup Server instances from a single interface. This guide covers installation, configuration, and best practices for managing your virtualization infrastructure at scale.
When installing dependencies, formatting code, linting it, type-checking it, and building docs with #Poetry or #PDM, #Black, #Flake8, #Mypy and #MkDocs would previously take from 2min to several more, it now takes less than 15 seconds for the whole thing, thanks to #uv, #Ruff, #ty and #Zensical.
This is for 5 #Python versions (3.10 to 3.15).
The DX got much better 🥰
Dear Mastodon,
I am a mechanical engineer who is about to make a major #career change. I have received a job offer from an international company for an Application Engineer position. The role involves supporting #CAD (computer-aided design), #PLM (product lifecycle management), and #PDM (product data management) systems and their underlying infrastructure.
As far as I know, most of the applications are #Windows-based, but there are likely some #Unix-like systems involved as well. I do not have formal system administration experience, so I am looking for guidance on which technologies I should focus on to make this transition as smooth as possible. Could you recommend useful books, technologies, or keywords to explore?
For context, I have homelab-level experience with Linux, networking, SSL, reverse proxying, ZFS, Solaris zones, bhyve, and FreeBSD, and I have been using OpenBSD as my desktop operating system for years.
Thank you in advance for any #advice or recommendations.
