Popped into the #Banksia garden at the Australian Botanic Gardens whilst in Canberra last week. It's a must see for #ozflora fanciers. Banksia menziesii, B. spinulosa, B. epica and B. brownii
More garland lilies - the patches in the back paddock are flowering well after the wet end to 2022. We have the usual crimson flowered form but there's also a special patch of which is white with a pink blush. Calostemma purpureum #Amaryllidaceae #botany #RockleighSA #ozplants #ozflora

I'm office bound for a while, but big trees are always on the mind. Here is a big red tingle (Eucalyptus jacksonii) from earlier in the month.

Another native that grows very well on the NSW/VIC border is this dwarf Tea Tree (Leptospermum). It forms a small bush with burgundy foliage and has masses of vibrant red flowers.

For this week's thick trunk Tuesday we have this wild bark pattern on a karri (Euc diversicolor).

I don't think it was lightning based on the tree top, and probably not a vine.
Other thoughts??
