Mal schauen, ob das gut für einen Artikel ist:
1. Kamera-SD-Karte einstecken.
2. Realtime-Sync erkennt das und startet ein Skript, das aus den Exif-Daten Ordner anlegt und die Dateien auf SSD-Pfad kopiert.
3. Da dieser Pfad zu einem OwnCloud-Space auf meinem Homeserver gehört, werden die neuen Fotos dort aufgenommen.
Muss noch ein paar Tests machen, sieht aber soweit gut aus.

Quand même foufou cette décision de #Owncloud de maintenir leur propre version de PHP7.4 pour ne pas passer à PHP8+.
Le process de migration vers #Nextcloud, même d'une version pas à jour depuis 3 ans a été longue mais très propre et sans aucun bug, et ça, c'est super.
On est encore en train de tester que tout ce qu'il faut est là mais normalement, on est pas mal du tout.

Anforderungen
- Nutzerverwaltung (2 handvoll) mit Gruppen
- Dateien mit Berechtigungen ablegen über Web API und Browser-UI (ja, mehr nicht, nein wirklich!)
- Wunsch-TCP Port mit eigenem SSL-Cert (nicht self-signed)
- idealerweise tgz auspacken, minimal konfigurieren, starten (kein docker o.ä.)
Meinungen?
Sag ich seit Jahren. Im Vergleich zu #owncloud Infinite Scale #ocis oder #opencloud schneidet #nextcloud ganz schlecht ab. Aber gut, dass es das Windows der #opensource welt gibt, dadurch kommen viel in Kontakt mit #linux und #OSS. Aber es ginge so viel besser.

Nextcloud war lange das Schweizer Taschenmesser meines Homelabs. 2026 war für mich trotzdem Schluss: zu viel Ballast, zu viel Wartung, zu wenig Leichtigkeit. Warum ich auf OpenCloud im K3s-Cluster umgezogen bin – und weshalb daraus ganz nebenbei auch noch eine souveräne Ebook-Bibliothek wurde.
I started using #ownCloud a long time ago at home, then moved to #Nextcloud. The android app is not office ready I think (too many sync issues on updates), it's great tho.

If you don't mind 100gb/5-user limit, these folks are €6.90 per month and they manage the nextcloud sysadmin aspect for you. Might be worth a punt for a couple of months if you're still in the experimentation phase. #Nextcloud (perhaps also #owncloud I'm unsure) has a super #FOSS app ecosystem.
